Privacy Policy
How Alt+Native handles information when you browse the catalogue, create an account, submit a product, or contact us.
Last updated: August 28, 2026
1. Scope and contact
Alt+Native is a Testamplify company. This policy applies to Alt+Native websites, accounts, catalogue submissions, moderation, analytics, uploads, and support experiences that link to it. Questions, privacy requests, and other correspondence may be sent to admin@testamplify.io.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, authentication information, account role, and a record of the legal-policy versions accepted during registration. Passwords are stored as password hashes, not readable passwords. Password-reset links use a hashed, single-use token that expires after one hour, and transactional account-security email is delivered through our email provider. If an enabled third-party sign-in option is used, we may receive the profile details that provider makes available, such as name, email address, and profile image.
Product and community submissions
Product representatives may submit company and product details, websites, logos, screenshots, pricing, integrations, markets, team or company locations, community connections, supporting links, and descriptions. We also store ownership, review status, moderation notes, and submission history. Approved listing information may become public. Information that remains under review is restricted to authorized account holders and moderators.
Alt+Native does not ask for race, ethnicity, religion, ancestry, passport information, or a photograph of a founder as an eligibility condition. Do not submit sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for a listing.
Discovery and technical information
We record limited product-discovery events such as searches, result impressions, clicks, category views, page views, and filters. These records may include a randomly generated browser-session identifier, account identifier when signed in, page or referrer, search query, product identifier, and event time. The browser-session identifier is stored in local storage. Hosting and security providers may also process IP addresses, device information, and request logs needed to deliver and protect the service.
Uploads, support, and Concierge
When you upload a logo or screenshot, we process the file name, type, size, storage key, and the file itself. When you use an Alt+Native support or Concierge experience, we may process the messages, form answers, page context, and contact details you choose to provide so the request can be answered or routed.
Public product evidence assessments
When a product is submitted, Alt+Native may send the product name, description, type, public website, documentation, repository, marketplace or status links, and selected public product claims to Concierge, a Testamplify service, to inspect publicly accessible evidence. Applicant email addresses are not included in this assessment request. The assessment does not sign in to accounts, access private areas, or ask applicants to disclose credentials.
Alt+Native stores the resulting coverage, findings, evidence references, status, and profile version with the submission so applicants can see appropriate findings and moderators can maintain a review record. Automated findings support human review; they do not by themselves approve, reject, verify, rank, or certify a product.
3. How we use information
- Create and secure accounts and maintain authentication sessions.
- Receive, review, moderate, publish, correct, and manage catalogue listings.
- Operate search, category discovery, product comparisons, and site analytics.
- Detect misuse, enforce rate limits, investigate reports, and protect the service.
- Respond to support, feedback, collaboration, contribution, and privacy requests.
- Maintain records needed to demonstrate authorization, moderation decisions, and policy acceptance.
- Inspect submitted public product sources and support a documented human review.
4. AI-assisted discovery
If you choose AI Chat, the message you submit and a limited amount of the current conversation are sent to our configured AI provider so it can interpret your request and explain matching catalogue records. Alt+Native does not store the raw conversation content. The AI is restricted to products returned from the same approved catalogue used by native search, but its summaries may still be incomplete or mistaken. Avoid including passwords, payment details, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal information in a chat.
5. When information is shared
We disclose information to service providers that support hosting, databases, file storage, authentication, security, analytics, and customer support. They may process information only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.
Approved listing information is intentionally made public. We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, dispute handling, legal obligations, or service recovery. Submission, public evidence assessment, and moderation records may be retained while a listing is active and as needed to preserve catalogue integrity and explain review decisions. Analytics, support, and security records are retained only while reasonably useful for their stated purposes. Backups may take additional time to expire.
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us. We will verify the request before acting. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes, or the integrity of already-published records.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, hashed passwords, authenticated account routes, restricted moderation tools, and provider security controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and contact us if you believe an account has been compromised.
8. International use
Alt+Native and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where service infrastructure operates. Privacy protections and lawful transfer measures may vary by location.
9. Children
Alt+Native accounts are not intended for children under 18. The public catalogue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through account registration.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. Contact us to make a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as Alt+Native changes. The date above identifies the current version, and material revisions are recorded on the Policy Changes page. We will provide additional notice when required.
